Los noruegos DIMMU BORGIR han confirmado de forma oficial que el multi-instrumentista sueco Snowy Shaw (nombre real: Tommie Helgesson; THERION, DREAM EVIL, KING DIAMOND, MERCYFUL FATE, MEMENTO MORI, NOTRE DAME) será quien reemplace al bajista ICS Vortex de cara a su próximo disco «Abrahadabra», y a la próxima gira mundial.
El pasado 7 de Julio, Snowy anunció que abandonaba las filas de THERION después de cuatro años, dos discos de estudios, DVDs y numerosas giras por todo el mundo.
DIMMU BORGIR han elegido «Abrahadabra» como título de su noveno trabajo de estudio que se pondrá a la venta en Europa el próximo 27 de Septiembre. En Norteamérica saldrá a la venta el 12 de Octubre. En ambos territorios saldrá bajos los auspicios de Nuclear Blast Records.
La palabra «abrahadabra» (que se podría traducir como “Crearé lo que digo”) apareció por primera vez el capítulo tercero del libro «Liber AL vel Legis» (conocido comúnmente como “El Libro de la Ley”) escrito por Aleister Crowley en 1904 en el Cairo, Egipto.
Para este trabajo, DIMMU BORGIR han colaborado con el compositor de su país y alumno aumma cum laude de Berklee College of Music, Gaute Storaas, además de 51 miembros de KORK (la orquesta de la Radio Noruega) y 38 miembros de la Schola Cantorum Choir.
